Getting around by car in Marrakech
In Marrakech traffic travels on the right. The speed limit is 60km/h in the towns, 100km/h on the outskirts and 120km/h on the motorways. Compared to other cities of Morocco, the number of police manning the roads here is greater and so is the number of speed traps. Driving in Marrakech is not for the faint hearted given the unruliness of the drivers and the lack of signposts. Horn blowing is much more common as traffic seems to pour in from every direction and at different speeds. For parking there are several covered enclosures with many having night guards.
